We are being watched!!!!!
The
Homily of Fr. Albin Tesha (A.J.) in The Inaugural Mass of the Vice-Provincial
Chapter
Fr. Albin Tesha represented
the Archbishop of Arusha Isaac Amani in the inaugural mass. He pointed out that
‘We are being watched” by:
- The Holy
Spirit- We need to draw our strength from the main source that is Christ himself. We should allow the Holy Spirit
to guide us in everything we do especially in the work of our vice-provincial
chapter. In our apostolic work “ni nafasi tu tumepewa ya
kujirudi” (it is just an opportunity we are given to examine ourselves).
- The World- He
noted that we are working in the world which is very sick but also a world that does not appreciate our efforts and endeavors. We shall be rejected
and even more be condemned. To be able to heal the world we must be men of
integrity.
- Satan
- We ought to be attentive of Satan’s schemes intended to put the church to
a ‘standstill’. We have to reject the greed, selfish interests, confusion and lies that he
uses.
- Watch
over each other: Be each other’s keepers; love and desire for establishment of the Kingdom of God. All our works
should be led by the passion for the Kingdom of God and compassion towards
each other. Love of God should continue unifying us and making us better
agents of unity.
In conclusion, Fr. Tesha
wished us all the best in the vice-provincial Chapter but we have to open our
hearts and mind to be guided by the Holy Spirit in our decisions and
discussions.
“May the Holy Spirit continue
enlightening the members of the first East African vice-provincial chapter
which continues its sittings today.”
Truly we are being watched. All we need is to prepare ourselves to work with everyone in order to make our mission possible.
